Charlotte Kosher BBQ Championship - September 3
Come enjoy delicious barbecue, watermelon and pickle eating contests, live music, kids activities and much more at the 2018 Charlotte Kosher BBQ Championship! The festival is free to attend and will take place on September 3 from 11am - 3pm at the Levine Community Center at 5007 Providence Road. Visit their website to learn more.
Cabarrus County Fair - September 7-15
The Cabarrus County Fair returns this year, featuring more than 40 rides, carnival games, food, entertainment and more! Admission to the fair is $3.25-$7.50 per person (additional cost for rides/games/food, etc.). The fair will take place at the Cabarrus Arena & Events Center at 4751 NC Hwy 49 N. in Concord. Lincoln County Apple Festival - September 15
Take a day trip to the charming city of Lincolnton for their annual Apple Festival, featuring a classic street fair, farmer's market, live entertainment, apple dish contest, book sale and much more! Head down early to run in the 5k or 1 mile fun run/walk, pick up some fresh local apples, stroll amongst the many arts and crafts vendors and set up a chair to enjoy the live entertainment. Festival in the Park - September 21-23
Head out to Charlotte's Freedom Park for a fun fall festival celebrating the arts on September 21-23. The park is located at 1900 East Blvd. in Charlotte and will feature arts and crafts tents, live entertainment, kids' rides and more. Admission is free, hours vary by day. Carolina Renaissance Festival - September 29-November 18
This popular seasonal festival that celebrates all things Renaissance returns September 29-November 18, 2018. The festival takes place Saturdays and Sundays from 10am - 5:30pm at 16445 Poplar Tent Road in Huntersville, NC. Admission starts at $14 per person. Come enjoy live performances of historic activities such as jousting and falconry, plus authentic food, costumed performances, people-watching and much more! This event is held rain or shine.
